has anyone else been having problems with the grenth scavenger hunt in Kryta while WiK is still active? I'm trying to get the garlic up in Watchtower Coast and the necromancer spawns ontop of some White Mantle and Peacekeepers. The White Mantles then aggros her group and kills all of them before I have a chance to help in the fight. Whats worse is that the necromancer doesn't even defend themselves while the White mantles beat on them.
Short of finishing WiK, is there any way to prevent the White Mantle from spawning in Kryta?

If you are part way through the 5 quest chain for WiK just abandoning them "should" be ok...
If it's Wanted, complete or abandoning them will be enough

I had to complete my 3 outstanding Wanted: to be able to complete it... and she still killer herself first time

You can also come from behind. Don't rush straight there, but go around so you are coming from the west. Kill the mantle before you get close, then rush forward and kill calamitous and his group before the necro charges in. (He will be fighting the other group so won't agro the necro right away)

frankly the rewwards are lame and I didn't even bother witht hem this year
